A very Merry Un-Birthday to you!

One summer a few years ago Charnae and Laura decided to have an Un-Birthday party and since we have had two of them we have officially adopted it as a family summer tradition.  It's easy to schedule since it just can't be on anyones official Birthday - and Charlie is the only summer Birthday so far.  So...it's pretty easy to get together - all you need is a crazy cake with a gazillion candles and gifts.  The gifts are either something the receiver already owns - or something the giver has made or gotten together at no cost.  So....here is the results of this years celebration

First off:  here are a few pictures of the decorating of the cake:

And now, the finished product:

And now that the candles are lit - isn't it a beautiful sight!
Thanks for everyones help-
I baked it and as you can see, everyone decorated it.

The gifts went something like this:
Christian and Harve got cars from their toy boxes
Harve got tomato sauce and a tomato because of his red hair
Westley got some dress up clothes that he was wearing to be silly a few weeks earlier
Westley got a Safeway name tag from Dayle (he works at Safeway)
Laura got her own pillow and elephant stuffed animals and her yearbook
Charnae got a dictionary and a bag of sugar (she is Charnae Sugar)
Dayle got a Broncos football book of Brok's that he had to leave here when he went home.
Audrey got druss up shoes and a doll that are hers already.
It's a magnificent sight  to see a table FULL of presents (all wrapped in the same paper) and funny to open them up.

Is today your Un-Birthday too?  Well, a very merry un-Birthday to you!

  1. I think I am going to start having un-birthday parties! Any reason to party is a good reason to me... especially this reason! Love the pictures of the kids!
