After reading stories about circus' we returned all of the books to the library and checked out books and movies about dinosaurs like the very first Land Before Time dvd. Then we had another famly meeting and decided that instead of having a party we would go to the dinosaur museum to finish up our studies.
We watched the video about dinosaurs - it's always fun to watch a movie in a dark room!
The kids dug up bones in the crushed walnut shell pit and then burried Westley and dug him back up. It was great fun - even other kids helped out.
We searched the museum for meat eaters and plant eaters, for dinosaurs that walked on two or four legs - and we shook in the earthquake machine,played in some water while we learned about the water cycle, and watched people cleaning real fossils through a big window. It was a lot of fun!
Then we came home and ate the dinosaur bones that we had made from Rice Krispy/Cocoa Pebble Treats. We decided that we want to go to Vernal, UT or Dinosaur, CO for our next dinosaur museum trip. (Whenever that might be)
