Wednesday finally came and Charnae was just as excited as everyone else, so she and Dayle came over to say good bye to the kids as they left on the bus. Well, everyone except Brok that is. He gets on the bus at 6:30, so he was on his own.
Laura started on Monday, and Harve always has Wednesday off - so he started on Thursday.

Wednesday is early release which means that the elementary kids get are home by 2:05, but the teachers stay their regular hours. Brok gets home by 3:30 every day - so, on the first day we loaded in the car when Brok got home and went over to Wingate - Brok and Westley's old school.
The 5th graders decorate a tile and over summer break the custodians hang them in the halls - so as you walk through the halls you see former students names and artwork. Here is Brok standing next to his. He put Champ Bailey's number on it in the Bronco's colors.
After strolling through the halls we went to Brok's 3rd grade teachers room and gave her this quilt.
Brok's class had made it for art heritage when they leaerned about a quilt artist. It had been glued together, and we offered to make it more permanant - so, 3 years later, I got it all finished and we gave it to her. Here is Brok and Mrs. Cunningham.
We said a quick hello to Mrs. Lenard- Westley's 1st grade teacher and then went home for dinner.
Don't ya just love the first day of school?
